Scontree Ltd, based in London, United Kingdom, provides a digital system for receiving, storing, and managing electronic receipts through the Scontree app, available for Android and iOS. The goal is to provide a secure and transparent service in compliance with the EU GDPR (Reg. 2016/679) and UK GDPR.
2. Terms and Conditions of Service
2.1 Acceptance of Terms
By using Scontree services, the user accepts these Terms and agrees to comply with them. If acting on behalf of an organization, the user declares to have the authority to bind it.
2.2 Modifications
Scontree may update these Terms or the Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be published on this page.
2.3 Registration
The app does not require entering personally identifiable data. Any optional user profile is pseudonymous and not linked to personal identity. For support, users may voluntarily contact us at privacy@scontree.com.
2.4 User Obligations
The user agrees to use the services lawfully, without compromising system security or third-party rights.
2.5 The Services
Scontree enables anonymous receipt storage and consultation. Processed data includes purchase information only (amount, items, date, store, and pseudonymized payment method).
2.6 Limitation of Liability
The app is provided “as is”. Scontree Ltd shall not be liable for indirect damages or misuse of the services.
2.7 Service Interruptions
Temporary suspensions may occur for maintenance or security. In case of serious violations, access may be revoked.
2.8 Intellectual Property
The app, brand, and related technologies are owned by Scontree Ltd. Users retain ownership of their own content.
2.9 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by UK law. For disputes related to their validity, interpretation, or execution, the exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts of London (England & Wales).
3. Privacy Policy
3.1 Types of Data Processed
Scontree does not collect identifiable personal data (name, surname, date of birth, email, or phone number). We only process:
- Technical data: IP address, device ID, timestamps, connection logs;
- Transactional data: purchase amount, date, list of items, store ID, and anonymized or pseudonymized payment “fingerprint”.
3.2 Purpose and Legal Basis
Data is processed to:
- Provide the digital receipt storage service;
- Ensure system security and prevent abuse;
- Produce anonymous system statistics.
3.3 Retention
Data is retained for the time necessary to deliver the service and deleted only upon user request, in accordance with the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR).
3.4 User Rights
Users may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or objection by emailing privacy@scontree.com (subject: “GDPR Rights Request”). Since the data is non-identifiable, requests are managed using available technical references.
3.5 Security
We implement adequate technical and organizational measures, including HTTPS, HMAC authentication, encrypted logs, and access control. In the event of a data breach, we notify authorities in accordance with GDPR / UK GDPR.
